COLLEGE RUN FARMS

College Run Farms is a small, family farm located in Surry, VA. It is owned & operated by Steve & Jordan Berryman and was established in 1999 after Steve graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Agricultural Economics. As a 6th generation farmer, he had the vision to diversify from the family's peanuts, corn, and soybeans and try something different. It was then that he planted 4 acres of strawberries, which the farm grew for 20 years (and hope to have their children grow again in the near future.) In 2006, 1000 blueberry bushes were planted and this year marks the 20th anniversary of growing blueberries on the farm! The farm also makes & sells homemade ice cream, has a sincere cut-your-own-pumpkin-off-the-vine pumpkin patch & corn maze in the fall, and raises sweet corn and butter beans in the summer. Their oldest son Jake just graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2026 with a degree in Agricultural Technology & Agribusiness and has returned to help at the farm. Their youngest son Henry is a senior in high school and has an interest in integrated ag technology, focusing on drone applications! They would love to have you visit the farm!
